2024 African Safari Plus: In Transit to Kenya (6/25-27/2024)

To get to Kenya, we had to return to Johannesburg in South Africa.

had to go in the co-pilot's seat, because even we short
people had to bend in half to walk through the cabin

In Johannesburg, we stayed at the African Rock Hotel, where each room had a rock/gem color scheme.

gems of each of the hotel rooms
Traffic on the way back to the Johannesburg airport
After a four-hour flight and losing one hour,
we arrived in Nairobi, Kenya (KSS)

We do not know if there is always an armed soldier
at the hotel entrance, or if it is in response to
protestors burning Parliament yesterday

This morning we were driven through the city to
Wilson Airport, for domestic flights
Very crowded, with people coming and going
Tamiko is in line to board the Safarilink

A safari camp?
Arrival at the Mara Ol Seki Airstrip, Kent goes to assist
our Maasai driver with the backpacks, but he is good
A dozen safari vehicles were lined up waiting to take
visitors to as many safari camps
