Grand Gateway sponsored a pumpkin carving activity. As usual, it was us and some Japanese residents!
Cleaning out the pumpkin:
These pumpkins were paler than the U.S. counterparts, with thicker flesh.

The Japanese were very neat and precise in their work:
Although they have adopted this American tradition of pumpkin carving, they have have decided you should carve a face on both sides of the pumpkin, plus whatever!
