Three moose sculptures made from recycled metal,
at Glen Waye Gardens Condos in Silver Spring, MD
The stars aligned so that Erich, and Dylan and Pete, had overlapping time off, giving us an opportunity to visit. Plus with good weather, we were able to meander through the nearby Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD. We were joined by Laura and her daughter Arya.
The Water Wall has been turned off for the winter
The brook that gives Brookside its name,
but apparently does not have a name itself
The conservatory was closed due to COVID-19

The Fragrance Garden has also been cleared out for the season
Reflection Terrace has a memorial to the
victims of the 2002 DC-area sniper attacks
Half the victims were from Montgomery County, MD
"Bridge" at the edge of the pond in Gude Garden, six acres
designed in the “pond and island” style of Japanese gardens
Another bridge leads to an island with a "Japanese Tea House"
(normally an enclosed structure, not an open pavilion)
Erich & Laura are framed by the torii
(which is supposed to be a gateway
between the secular and sacred, not
for a tea house or garden pavilion) (KSS)

Suddenly we had returned to the visitor center, before finding an opportunity to photograph the "kids."
