We have been to the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA on 4/1/2021. But there is so much more to see and do!
First: Graeme Park in Horsham, PA with a
traditional bank barn (1830s)
Keith House (c 1722), the only surviving residence of a
Pennsylvania [Provincial] Governor, Sir William Keith
A Roadside America attraction, Kids' Castle is said
to be the biggest playground castle ever, inspired by
Fonthill Castle, the residence of Henry Chapman Mercer
Central Park sculpture of Sack Race (1998, by Ashby Saunders)
Peony and Iris Garden, now with perennials,
is part of the Henry Schmieder Arboretum
at Delaware Valley University
Part of the Beech Tree Collection:
Fagus sylvatica 'Purple Fountain'/
Purple Fountain European Beech
Zelkova serrata 'Musashino'/Columnar Zelkova
The Rain Garden seemed to also be a Pollinator Garden
Hypericum frondosum/Cedarglade St John's Wort
Busy time for Popillia japonica/Japanese Beetles (KSS)
Delaware Valley University Adolph Segal Hall (1905-1906)
was built when the campus was the National Farm School
Joseph Krauskopf Memorial Library (1924) is named
for the founder of National Farm School (1894) (KSS)
Sparky, the Class of 2018 gift, in memory of a squirrel,
is located in the Hillman Family Garden
Marty Brooks Conifer Collection
Rock Garden next to the greenhouses
The Gazebo Annual Garden is now a community garden
Lake Archer
Pine Valley Covered Bridge (1842)
