A farmers market has been in existence at this site since the 1930s when Earl Philiips opened his property for local Amish farmers and other merchants looking for a place to sell their goods. From a single wooden barn, the market grew into additional buildings. Beginning in the 1950s, the market has been managed by the Cohen family.
