Headed to Avon, OH, and saw a sign for Bubba's BBQ. Found the restaurant, arriving just before they opened.

Bubba's BBQ |
Once inside, it was like being in a mini-museum with sports memorabilia. It is owned by Bubba Baker, a former Cleveland Brown football defensive lineman, who is in the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame.

Bubba's father owned Jenkin's Quality Barbecue in Jacksonville, FL, and Bubba carried on the tradition, developing his own sauces and rubs. Bubba was featured on the television show "Shark Tank" and his patented boneless ribs earned him the support of investor Daymond John.
The boneless ribs were very tasty and easy to eat!
We attended a game at the All Pro Freight Stadium to watch the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier Baseball League play the Evansville Otters.

The name "Crushers" is a nod to the vineyards in Lorain County and the crushing of grapes to make wine.

Good "old fashioned" scoreboard,
and the bull pen |
The game was tied 6-6 after the ninth inning and we stayed one more inning before heading home. The game went to the 14th inning before the Crushers scored the winning run.
