Because we had time before our advance reservation at noon at the Erie Art Museum, We checked out Perry Square.

Oliver Hazard Perry Statue is a 1985 replica of the statue (1885, by William Greene Turner) of Perry in his hometown of Newport, RI |
Oliver Perry is known for his command of the naval fleet built along the shore of Erie County, PA and defeat of the British near Put-in-Bay, OH at the Battle of Lake Erie.

Finally we were able to enter the Erie Art Museum, as the only visitors. Half the museum was closed off for an exhibition installation. We were able to visit the Erie Art Museum for free through our membership with Tyler Arboretum and NARM/North American Reciprocal Museum Association.

Erie Art Museum decided to display everything that had a frame, to free up storage space as they inventoried their entire collection. In the 1800s art museums used to show their collections in this manner, salon style. Nothing was identified.
