Wednesday, December 27, 2023
We were very fortunate to have Kyle & Katrina visit us, with Adaline and Levon, and all the accoutrements that are needed for babies and toddlers!
For once the Brandywine River Museum of Art
(in the renovated Hoffman's Mill, a former gristmill
built in 1864) was not backlit
The special exhibit was Rooted: Family & Nature in Comtemporary Children's Book Illustration.

We always try to let Katrina get in some jigsaw puzzle time, which is nearly impossible as a working mom of two little ones, even when "on vacation."
Jigsaw puzzle of Frozen Spheres (1927, designed by
Frank Lloyd Wright, one of 12 seasonally-themed covers
for Liberty Magazine, who deemed them too avant-garde)
