Last stop on this particular trip for Tyler Arboretum membership reciprocal museums in Lancaster, PA.

but returned to his hometown of Lancaster and

John Wise Monument on the art museum
grounds honors the pioneer aeronaut who
made 462 hot air balloon ascensions from
1835-1879; however, his last trip ended up
in Lake Michigan where he lies today
Demuth Tobacco Shop (1770) was open in February on
select dates, since the Demuth Museum itself has
been enclosed for installation of reinterpreted galleries
This is the oldest tobacco shop in the country,
founded by Christopher Demuth, and
has its original woodwork and cabinetry
The great great grandson of the founder
was Charles Demuth, a painter of watercolors
and developer of the Precisionist style; this
work is Buildings, Abstraction, Lancaster (1931)
Charles Demuth lived his final years in the building next to the tobacco shop, which is the Demuth Museum.

1940 and 1944, yet Barney qualified for the 1948
Olympics - winning silver in the 100 m and
200 m dashes, and gold in the 4x100 m relay

We and the Canada Geese stop to admire Pod (2017,
by Richard Deutsch), which is supposed to be
gigantic tree seeds, made of white granite from Sardinia
