Heading South, our first stop was a relatively new member of the Acts continuing care communities, affiliate Buckingham's Choice in Adamstown, MD. It is a gated community located on 42 acres with about 80 independent living apartments, 45 assisted living apartments, and 42 beds in skilled nursing. It also has 137 villas. We had a tour at 11:00.

There are garden plots available. A major difference from other Acts communities is that independent living includes housekeeping twice a week!
The closest hospital, Frederick Health Hospital, is 10 miles away. The Baltimore Washington Airport is 56 miles away. It is 28 miles to Erich's house, and 31 miles to see Pete and Dylan.
However, the water has a strong metallic taste.
