George Eastman House (8/27/2024)

Took a day trip to Rochester, NY to visit the George Eastman Museum. Before it opened, we explored the gardens.
The West Garden at the George Eastman House;
gardens were designed by landscape architect Alling DeForest

We received a tour of the George Eastmen House (1902-1905,
by J Foster Warner, in Colonial Revival style)
George Eastman was an entrepreneur and philanthropist who founded the Eastman Kodak Company. An avid photographer, his inventions made the camera accessible to all and his innovation of a roll of film separated the processing of the film from the camera.

George Eastman's bedroom is the Children's Discovery Room,
with a display on cameras
The rest of the second floor was undergoing renovation to enlarge the elevator access.
