Zippo/Case Museum (10/10/2021)

Sunday, October 10, 2021 (continued)
The Zippo/Case Museum in Bradford, PA includes the Flagship store for both products.
The museum and store drive and parking have
Zippo lighter streetlights
We parked next to the Zippo Jeep that was unveiled in
August 2011 at the Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series
race at Watkins Glen International
The Zippo Jeep has license plate ZIPPO II
The Zippo Car, a 1947 Chrysler New Yorker was modified
in 1996 to replace the original a 1947 Chrysler Saratoga
(that was left at a dealership in Pittsburgh for repairs, then
disappeared when the dealership went out of business) with
larger-than-life lighters stretching above the roof line,
complete with removable neon flames (the lids close for travel)

At the entrance is a 40' Zippo lighter and a

The office of George G Blaisdell, founder of Zippo (1932),
after watching a friend try to use a cumbersome lighter
from Austria, Blaisdell decided to redesign the lighter
Blaisdell continued to perfect the lighter to have a windproof
means of lighting a cigarette, which was much appreciated
by the military; many famous generals and admirals were
given a Zippo lighter by the company, and thus Zippo
received letters of thanks with collectable "autographs"
Examples of Case products
The Zippo lighter is guaranteed to work for life, and customers
can send their lighters to the Zippo repair clinic
However, merchandise damaged by abuse,
misuse, normal wear and tear, or lack of
reasonable care is not covered by
the manufacturer's warranty!

disposal or a shredder, run over by a lawn
mower or bulldozer, and chewed by the dog
