Now we have arrived in Jefferson City, the capital of Missouri.

*On 6/4/1804, the keelboat's mast was broken off by a tree branch hanging over the Missouri River. The Corps of Discovery stopped to make repairs.*

Lohman Building (1839) served as a grocery store, warehouse,
tavern, telegraph office and hotel at Jefferson Landing,
one of a few remaining river-front landings on the Missouri

York (while there is no record of what the
